Physicians Committee Charity Climb

Vegan Kilimanjaro 2

Plant-Based Nutrition Challenge!

On March 1, 2018, a daring group of dedicated vegans summited Mt. Kilimanjaro on the largest and likely first all‑vegan trek to Africa's highest peak!

Now a second group of ardent vegans will be preparing for a summit attempt on July 4, 2020.

For questions or to join the climb, email team advisor Mike Weinberg at mike.weinberg1952@gmail.com

Besides fulfilling personal goals, intrepid vegan adventurers will once again demonstrate to the world the heights of achievement possible on a healthy, life‑enhancing, plant‑based diet!

The capstone of the trek will be the second unfurling of the Vegan Kilimanjaro banner at the foot of the famous Uhuru Peak summit sign promoting the life-saving mission of the Physician Committee's (PCRM) Barnard Medical Center.

And $150 can support a visit for a needy patient who is unable to pay.

The Vegan Kilimanjaro 1 Team and its supporters were able to fund a new $4500 exam table with a commemorative plaque documenting their donation and achievement.
