Hi, my name is Will Durness. Even if you're not an outdoor enthusiast, these lessons demonstrate skills, like tying knots, that apply to home and work situations. For those who venture into the wild, navigational GPS devices are in vogue, but it's important to have backup skills if the batteries die. So these lessons cover old-fashioned methods, like compass navigation. Finally, I'll present some basic survival skills like making water, fire, and shelter, which also might come in handy if a natural disaster strikes at home.
